AirGuard

AirGuard is a Bluetooth scanner that promises to keep users safe from AirTags, small devices that any shady person can stick on your clothes or put in your backpack to monitor your movements. AirGuard gives you peace of mind that no one is keeping track of the places you visit.

AirGuard works as follows: when they appear, these Airtags work in such a way that they can be detected with a Bluetooth probe. If AirGuard detects the same device more than three times in different locations, it will recognize that you are being followed, and it will alert you. This means that there's no need to worry if you don't receive an alert, but also that you can react if you do. What's more, none of the information stored by the app will leave your device (i.e., you won't end up installing an Airtag on your phone while trying to avoid one).

Developed by the Technical University of Darmstadt, in Germany, this technology is part of a research project of the mobile device security lab. What's more, the app is very simple and intuitive, and you won't have to worry about learning complicated instructions to enjoy its benefits.
